Space: All-Grade Dance on Friday, 2/22
TICKETS ARE NOW ON SALE for Space the next Hewes ALL Level Grade Dance!
“SPACE” will take place on Friday, February 22nd from 6:30pm-8pm in the Hewes Events Center. ALL students wishing to attend must hold a 2.0 grade average or higher. Students MUST have a completed PTA waiver on file as well (only one is needed for the year).
Ticket sales will run from February 11-20th. No tickets will be sold at the door or after 3:30pm on February 20th online or on campus. Ticket may be purchased HERE. Tickets will also be sold on campus starting Thursday, 2/14 through Wednesday, 2/20 at lunch in the quad. Ticket sales will also be available Wednesday, 2/20 before and after school. Ticket price is $7.00 per student.
Did you purchase tickets in the fall to both dances or donated $250+ to the Highlander Club fundraiser? No need to buy tickets! Your student will automatically be placed on the guest list for the Space dance!
Food and drink items will be on sale the night of the dance. PLEASE be sure to send you student with a small amount of CASH. Nothing will be priced over $5.
Ticket Information: Students purchasing tickets online or on campus will be placed on a guest list. ALL students on the guest list must have a wristband to be admitted to the dance. Starting Tuesday, 2/19-21, students on the guest list may have a wristband put on them at lunch in the quad. Once the wristband is put on it may not be taken off! Please make sure your child is aware of this!
All Students who wish to reduce their wait on the night of the dance must have a wristband placed on them by Wednesday after school. All students without a wristband will need to go to WILL CALL to be checked in and to pick up their wristband. Tampering of the wristband prior to the dance will result in student having to pick up a new wristband on the night of dance at WILL CALL.

Hewes Spring Fundraiser: Saturday, 3/2
Invite your friends and neighbors for a great night to benefit Hewes Middle School! Join us for Arabian Nights, our PTA spring fundraiser on Saturday, March 2 at the Huynh home!
Tickets are $50 per guest and include dinner and beverages. Additional tickets for adult beverages can be purchased on site.
Want to sponsor a teacher’s ticket for the event? You can! Show your appreciation for our wonderful Hewes staff by sponsoring a member of the administration, faculty, front office staff, or support staff. You will be contacted after your donation is finalized to identify who you would like to benefit from your sponsorship.
Support Pennies for Patients!
Hewes Middle School will be taking part in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Pennies for Patients program from now until 2/22. During this program, students will collect money to support LLS’s mission: to find cures and ensure access to treatments for blood cancer patients. Students will learn about service, leadership, philanthropy and how they can make a difference by changing patients’ lives.
The first period class with the most donations receives an Olive Garden lunch as further incentive.

Arabian Nights: Auction Items Needed!
Donations Needed!! The spring fundraiser committee is looking for auction items to auction off at the event! All of the proceeds from the event will go right back to our Hewes students and our school community for support and enrichment! Please consider gifting unused personal items like gift cards or products and services from your own business. Have something you want to donate? Hewes 2018-19 PTA Participation Waiver
Students wishing to participate in any PTA-sponsored activity (Highlander Days, dances, etc.) must have their parent/ guardian complete the 2018-19 PTA Participation Waiver online. Please complete one waiver per student for the 2018-2019 school year. This waiver only needs to be completed once annually and covers all PTA-sponsored events for the corresponding school year. Students will not be allowed to participate if this waiver is not complete.
Once completed, your form will be automatically submitted to our records when you click on the “Submit” button. After clicking on “Submit”, a message on your screen will say: “Thank you! Your student’s information has been submitted and recorded.” Please note: No email confirmation will be sent. If you have questions, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Adult Volunteers Needed for the Student Store!
The Hewes PTA is looking for volunteers for the Student Store. It's a super fun way to get a peek at campus life during lunch hours. It's easy and fun to do with a friend!
The Student Store offers basic school supplies, along with some fun Hewes logo items (socks, hats, water bottles, stylus pens). PBIS items (purchased by RRR Card only) will also be available at the Student Store in September.
The Student Store is open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays throughout the school year during lunch.
